1. Get tested for COVID-19 straight away: Pick up a rapid antigen test from a supermarket or pharmacy. If you’re a person at higher risk of severe illness, you should get a PCR test as they can detect viruses earlier and we can make sure you get the right support.

2. Stay at home: If your COVID-19 test result is positive, you will need to self-isolate for 7 days. If your result is negative and you still have symptoms, you may have another respiratory illness such as a cold or flu. The best thing to do when you’re unwell is to stay home until vour symptoms resolve to avoid spreading your illness to others.

3. Get some rest: Make sure you’re drinking plenty of water, and take gentle pain relief for fevers and muscle pain if needed. If you are concerned by any of your symptoms, you should contact our GP or call Triple Zero (000) in an emergency.
